If being used as a treat or dietary additive (not the staple diet), feed as up to 30% of the daily diet.

Preparation Instructions

Bird Bread

• Preheat oven to 350F
• In a mixing bowl, combine the contents of the bag with 2 eggs(remove yolk if less fat is desired), 1 tbsp quality vegetable oil, and 1 cup water. Mix until relatively homogenous
• Tranfer mixed ingredients to greased bread pan or muffin tin, bake for 25 - 35 minutes

Bird bread can be served warm (not hot). Uneaten bread can be refrigerated for 1 week, or frozen up to 6 weeks. Do not bake in non-stick cookware. Do not reheat in plastic containers.

Doughballs

• Combine entire bag with 1 tbsp quality coconut oil and ½ cup trusted drinking water
• Mis thoroughly and roll into balls ¾" - 1" in diameter
• Quick-freeze any unused after the first feeding. Doughballs can be stored in the freezer and thawed for daily feeding

Storage

• Harrison's Bird Foods do not contain artificial preservatives.
• Do not repackage into other containers. Squeeze air out of bag, seal and store. If zip becomes damaged, roll bag down and clip shut with chip clip or clothespin.
• Once opened, a bag of Harrison's should be used up within 8 weeks.
• Storing food in fridge or freezer helps maintain freshness.

Life enrichment, ie; foraging activities, puzzle toys, frequent social interaction and other enrichment methods are necessary to keep most pet birds healthy and happy. A lonely, bored pet bird is more susceptible to illness than a busy, active bird.
